LowFruits Review: Is It the Right Keyword Tool for New Sites?
Looking for the best offer for LowFruits?
Updated October 7, 2026
LowFruits Review in Brief
LowFruits is a bulk SERP analyzer. It pulls the top 10 Google results for each keyword on your list and flags "weak spots": low-authority sites and other results a young website could plausibly outrank. Instead of trusting a single difficulty number, you see who actually ranks.
Quick Verdict
LowFruits is a strong fit for niche-site builders, bloggers and affiliate publishers working on new or low-authority domains who want to find realistic long-tail targets fast. It is not an all-in-one SEO suite: it has no backlink index, no site audit and no public API. Its credit model rewards people who filter their keyword lists before analyzing them.
All in One SEO (AIOSEO) acquired LowFruits in May 2024. AIOSEO says the tool continues to run as its own product, and you do not need the AIOSEO WordPress plugin to use it. If you are new to the idea behind it, start with our guide to how to find keywords you can actually rank for, then come back here.
How LowFruits Works
The workflow has four stages, and only the SERP extraction step costs credits on every plan.
- Step 1Generate long-tail ideas with the Keyword Finder or import your own list
- Step 2Extract the top 10 Google results for each keyword (1 credit each)
- Step 3Review weak spots and the 1–3 SERP Difficulty score
- Step 4Cluster the keywords and filter down to realistic targets
Weak Spots
A weak spot is a ranking result LowFruits considers beatable. By default, a site counts as weak when its Moz Domain Authority is below 20, and you can change that threshold in settings. Results are marked with colored icons, so you can scan a whole list of keywords and see at a glance which results pages have openings.
SERP Difficulty Score
Each analyzed keyword gets a SERP Difficulty score from 1 (easy) to 3 (hard). LowFruits says the score considers how many weak sites rank, where they rank, whether the ranking pages actually target the query in their titles, and the lowest authority on the page. Its own documentation suggests aiming for keywords with at least two weak spots and a score of 1.
What Changed After the Helpful Content Update
Since Google's September 2023 Helpful Content Update, forums and other user-generated content have gained visibility. LowFruits responded by no longer treating forums and similar sites as automatic weak spots. That matters: a Reddit thread at position three is often harder to displace than its domain metrics suggest. Read our explainer on SERP weak spots after the Helpful Content Update for how to judge these results.

- Clustering, KGR and volume in the same workflow
- Low-authority threshold is adjustable
Cons

- No backlink index, site audit or API
- Fewer weak-spot openings for sites that already have high authority
Who LowFruits Is For
A Good Fit
- New and low-authority sites that need keywords where similar sites already rank.
- Niche-site and affiliate publishers building large long-tail content plans.
- Bloggers who want to check a list of ideas before writing, not after.
- Agencies and freelancers producing keyword research for small clients.
A Weaker Fit
- Teams that need backlink analysis, technical audits and reporting in one tool. An all-in-one suite such as Ahrefs or Semrush covers more ground.
- Established, high-authority sites, which can rank for harder terms and gain less from weak-spot filtering.
- Local SEO work, which depends on map results more than weak organic pages.
Limitations to Know Before Buying
Authority is not the whole story. A large site can rank a page with no links of its own, and a low-authority site can rank because its page matches intent perfectly. Treat weak spots as a shortlist to open and read, not a guarantee.
Volumes are directional. LowFruits says its volumes come from the Google Ads API and should be read as a guide. Some keywords show zero volume yet still send traffic once a page ranks.
Credits reward filtering. Remove off-topic, duplicate and question-variant keywords before extracting results pages, or you will pay to analyze keywords you would never write about.
LowFruits Alternatives
The closest alternative is Keyword Chef, which also scans results pages for weak sites. KWFinder (Mangools) relies on a 0–100 difficulty score, while Ahrefs and Semrush are full SEO suites with far broader feature sets. See our LowFruits alternatives roundup and the head-to-head LowFruits vs Keyword Chef comparison.
Final Verdict: Is LowFruits Worth It?
If your bottleneck is finding keywords a young site can win, LowFruits addresses that problem directly. Its value comes from showing the actual competition, at scale, for a modest monthly or pay-as-you-go cost. If you need a complete SEO toolkit, pair it with another tool or choose a suite instead.
